Photo size for email (2003)

I upgraded to OL2003 just a couple of days ago. This morning I tried to email some photos by using Windows Explorer to select my photos. When I was using XP, I would select two or three photos, then in the command pane (?) on the left I would click on "Email the selected photos" or some such. Then I'd get a little dialog box asking me if I'd like to make my pictures smaller. I'd almost always say yes, and the computer would attach a much-downsized version of my photos to the email message. I really liked the convenience.

But today I'm not getting the offer to make my photos smaller. The email message launches, but with full-size photos attached. I can only surmise that Outlook 2003 has something to do with this. Any ideas how to get this handy feature back?

You're still using Windows XP, I hope (resizing photos is a Windows XP feature.)

Select Start | Run..., then type

REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

This should restore the feature. If that doesn't help, you can download the Image Resizer from Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP.

Yes, I'm still using WinXP. Your first suggestion did the trick. Thanks for the help, Hans!
