Software to help with PC components ID

Loungers

I used to have a copy of a software that would give me a report of what components are in the PC it runs on.

Its like a hardware inventory identifier, and it was from Belcar, or Belkar, or something like that.

Any ideas of any sources of these kind of software?

Thanks

Hi Wassim

I think this is the one you're thinking of. Another popular one is Aida (mentioned here in recent threads). One that I particularly like is Wintercooler, which is also and has lots of sysinfo on a nicely tabbed interface.

I had a feeling I was misspelling the name of the company.

Thanks, I also did bookmark the web page for the future.

Do you know how this type of software works? I mean does it read the Plug and Play data on the component, and if so what about legacy components?

Wassim,
I don't know but I'd guess it is just assemlbing registry information into an easy to read format.
