    Handout format

When printing Powerpoint 2000 handouts with 6 slides per page, Powerpoint lays the page out in two columns: the slides are laid out vertically. This may be find for those who read from top to bottom but for those of us who read left-to-right, it's awkward.

Is there any way to configure the handouts layout to print horizontally so that the upper left slide is #1, the upper right slide is #2, the middle left slide is #3 and so forth?

Yes there is. Go to File | Print and select Handouts in the Print What box. Then change the radio button which becomes active to Horizontal. This will print slides as you require.

Thanks. I never noticed that "Order" radio button before.
