    Wireless mouse

Can you recommend a wireless mouse that can be operated at least 15 feet from the receiver? Since it is for presentation purpose, to save some money, the wireless keyboard is not a must.

    Hi Cowboy,

What kind of wireless keyboard you are using? Will it work for 15 feet too?

Can't help ya there cause my Keyboard isn't wireless, but I see no reason why a good Wireless keyboard wouldn't work just fine. Logitech makes some good Keyboards Logitech Keyboards

    Hi Cowboy,

Thanks for your inputs. Except for the high end ones, most wireless keyboards/mice are made for operated within 1.5m or 6ft of range. Since yourLogitech Tracball can be used at 15ft (though the specification claims it can be used only within 6 feet), I will give it a try.

Not the prettiest solution, but what about USB or PS/2 cable extensions to go that extra length?

    Re: Wireless mouse

If I remember correctly, at work we've purchased several longer USB cables, upto 25' lengths without signal being affected.

I also recall a 'daisy chain' of 3 USB 10' cables, also working well. I don't think you'll run into a problem, but as always, your mileage may vary.

    Hi Cowboy,

I bought a Cordless Trackman Wheel which did not work either on PS2 or USB port over two feet distance from receiver. Did I do something wrong?

    Dennis

You probably want something which looks more like a TV remote control than a mouse, if you're using it for presentation purposes. They are made specifically for presentations... No point me suggesting any UK sources?

    Re: Wireless mouse

I just tried my Logitech cordless and it won't work at any distance more than ABOUT six feet from the receiver, even when the line of sight is direct. I know I'm a tad late jumping in here, but just in case you still have an opportunity for refund...
