Contacts and Address Book (Outlook xp sp2 & WIN XP Pro)

Is it possible to delete the windows address books and have a new one built from my contacts in Outlook? My address book is ooutdated, as are some of my outlook contacts, and I would like to update in outlook and then have a fresh address book.

    Thanks for your help!

Update in Outlook and then File>Import and Export>Export to a File and select a CSV file. Next, do a blanket delete of all your contacts in the Windows Address Book. Then, File>Import>Other Address Book and then select the Text File (CSV) that you exported from Outlook.

You can follow John's (<!profile=Rebel>Rebel<!/profile>) approach, but I think it would be easier to bring your Contacts up-to-date (selectively importing valid Outlook Address Books (OAB) entries into contacts when appropriate), and then remove your OAB and reset Contacts as your primary Address book per <!post=this post,334705>this post<!/post> (the graphic in <post#=339663>post 339663</post#> may be helpful).
