Can multiple worksheets be linked to a Pivot Table (Excel 97 SR-2)

I got a request for help that deals with Pivot Table. That is out of my area of knowlege, so I figured I would ask the ones that seem to know all....

Can more than 4 worksheets be linked into a single pivot table successfully?

The situation is 15-20 workbook tabs that relate to outside legal vendors. Would like to create pivot table(s) that summarizes these tables by client (Metro Transit, ES, etc.) being charged the Outside Legal expense.

I don't have Excel 97 any more, but in Excel 2002 there does not seem to be a limit to the number of worksheets that can contribute to a pivot table

I just did 32 sheets without any problems in XL97.

I think you are limited to 4 "Custom" page fields" but if you let excel create the page fields you get 1 for each sheet.
