    Formatting image problem (2002)

Being graphically challenged, I'm tearing out my hair on what I'm sure is a simple task for most. In the attached document, I need to have the text showing through the image. May best efforts have produced no solution.
    Anyone care to help?

    Hi Rob

    Will the attached do?

The following is based on Word 2003 but I believe it is identical to the procedures for Word 2002.

Select the picture of the unicorn. If the picture toolbar is not displayed then right click on the picture of the unicorn & select "Show picture toolbar"
Click on the "Set transparent color" icon (2nd icon from right in Word 2003) on the picture toolbar then click on the white background of the picture of the unicorn.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for the quick response. It's exactly what I need and I now know what to do in future. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>

    Re: Formatting image problem (2002)

    How about this version.

I have changed the order of the objects, moving the picture of the unicorn behind the text box. I then removed the fill color from the text box so the picture of the unicorn can be seen through the text box and finally changed the contrast on the unicorn to make the text easier to read.
