Align Bullets & Text in a Table (2003)

We often create Minutes/Action Points following meetings, and these are normally done in a Table with 3 Columns:
Column 1: Action Point Number
Column 2: Details of the Action Points
Column 3: Manager who needs to Action a particular item

In Column 2, we often have bulleted lists, eg,

John asked that 3 Actions be taken
1) Get Costs
2) Book Conference Center
3) Raise Purchase Order

These could be assigned in Column 3 to different people, eg

Anne
Diana
Paul

However, trying to get this bulleted list to line up with the people's initials is driving us nuts. It's like Bulleted Items have an invisible spacing before/after that can't be edited.

If I go into the Paragraph Dialog, the Before/After spacing is set to 0px, as it is in Column 3's Paragraph Styles.

But I can tell that these are way out of alignment by turning on the Grid.

Is this just a flaw in Word, or is there any way to make Bulleted Lists the same spacing as standard text? I've looked through the Styles and Bullets Dialog Boxes, but there's nowhere I can see that has a spacing before/after setting.

Note: All Text is the same Font, Font Size, and Paragraph Style (ie, no spacing before/after).

Thanks for any help or advice.

Set the line spacing for all paragraphs to an exact number.

The text may all be the same size but the bullets can be formatted with a different sized typeface eg 10 point text but the bullet is 12pt. This is usually hard to diagnose as the bullet is still small on screen. Have a look at the bullets and formatting dialog to check the bullets font attributes.

Hans' suggestion should override any additional line/paragraph spacing due to the size of the bullet.

Thank you both.

Both suggestions work.

FWIW, I think it would be better if Word's Bullet Font were the same as the standard Text (Regular 12).

Anyway, thank you both again. You've solved the problem.
