Comments on ZoneAlarm's MailSafe feature?

(Edited by jscher2000 on 11-Jun-04 09:26. Made into a new thread to get more attention.)
Hi Ken, was looking for an alternative to AGV for a friend's ME machine that decided NAV would no longer operate. Tried to download AGV for her, but was unale to get the download page to work. Just wanted to thank you for the link for Avast, will see if that works.

Does anyone have any experience with ZA;s Mailsafe? I noticed it was active after I uninstalled NAV from the ME machine, it does say the protection is basic email protection, wondered if anyone has used it.

    Thank you,

    Cyberdance,
Well, I've had ZA Mailsafe "on" since I started to use ZA. The thing is, I don't know if it's done any good or NOT? Don't think there is anything negative about it either.

Hi Bob, I had never heard ZA Mailsafe before, thanks for your reply. Do you use mailsafe with another AV program? Guess it is hard to tell if our AV software works well, think we all subscribe to the concept "better safe than sorry".

    Hi Cyberdance,
You bet I use another AV program. ( Norton AV ) I just have the ZA Mailsafe turned on as another layer of possible protection, but as I said, I don't really know how effective it is except that it says it's for .vbs protection. I suppose it doesn't hurt to have it on, so there it is.

Thanks Bob, I have left Mailsafe on, can't see how it can hurt either.

Hi John, believe it or not it is supposed to be a blooming rose but it went skewiff when I uploaded, have not had time to re create or replace.
