    Meeting Planner-Schedule-Options-Show Cal Detail (OL 2002 10.4 SP-2)

When I click on the Schedulining tab of a meeting planner an Options button appears with one choice being Show Calendar Detail. When I view a planner with this option On I see not only my own schedule detail (the Subject of the planner) but that of one other invitee. All other participants have Busy or Tentative blocked times. Later I went back and found the Private check-box, so now that planner reports as Private. But how will that show up on someone else's scheduler, as Private or as a solid blue bar for Busy? Is there some ofther switch or Property I can change to keep my schedule so as not to reveal details?
How is it that I can see the Details of another invitee's schedule and can others see mine?

Your "private" meetings shows as "Busy" for others.

To change what they see (I'm assuming that you are using Exchange) - right click the calendar folder and select properties.
Under security (or some tab like that (I'm at home - so doing this from memory)) check out what access others have - if they have "read" they can see the meeting contents, if they don't have read - they see "Busy" - as far as I know, there are no more precise options than that.

Finally, a plea for leaving the read access on - it helps others schedule meetings with you. I'd argue that it is rare for someone to have genuinely secret content within a meeting booking and the loss of functionality is extreme where a lot of busy people are involved <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15> WHen I have a sensitive meeting, I simply book it generically - e.g. "meet with Steve".

Thanks for your speedy reply. About your last point, I wonder how it might help others. I was rather taken aback when I noticed that someone else could see that the four hour mid-day block yesterday was for my grandaughter's high school graduation (I was actually only gone about three).
When I select Properties, I get a dialog bog with five tabs; General, Home Page, AutoArchive, Administration and Forms. Is it possible that the greyed-out option "This folder is available to:" is the one I am looking for?

If no one else answers this in the mean-time I'll reply when I get to work on Monday NZ time - I'll have to look at it there.

In reply to your "why should anyone see that I was at my granddaughters graduation" - sensitive people (there are some) know not to book meetings too near on either side. On the other hand if it said something like "unpleasant meeting with unpleasant person discussing unpleasant things" they'd know to schedule a meeting at the pub for afterwards.
