A Challenge

I was wondering what might be the longest sentence whose consecutive words increased by one letter. Without Googling, I came up with this first attempt:

I do not like those people pushing thoughts promoting abstention.

Any takers? The winner gets a prize of their choice.

I am mad, said crazy puzzle solving forumite: challenge increasing lettercount ridiculously, mindbendingly flabbergasting!

Re: A Challenge

I encountered "forumite" yesterday in another discussion board. Someone remarked that a formerly frequent contributor hadn't posted since mid-April, and someone else replied

I fear he has joined the ranks the departed forumites.

The word stuck in my mind, and it fit the theme of the sentence I was making, so I used it.

As you may gather, I also like picking up cheap, easy points in Scramble by adding an "s" to preexisting words.

Brilliant!

How about:

I do not know where family doctors acquired illegibly perplexing handwriting; nevertheless, extraordinary pharmaceutical intellectuality, counterbalancing indecipherability, transcendentalises intercommunications' incomprehensibleness'

20 Words
235 characters (19 are spaces)

I found this by chance, I was looking for word meaning when I stumbled on this one, at: What is curious about the following sentence?

I guess this was a contest some time ago. There are some more at the home page of the above. Now I would like to see this continue and maybe get 21 words.

Thanks for the link, Wassim. I particularly liked the fourth sentence.

Re: A Challenge

The rule that is supposedly violated is something I learned as:
"When i and e are together in a word, giving the sound of ee, then i comes before e except after c."

So I don't see a "violation" at all in that sentence.

Point taken, but there are interesting exceptions to your (partial) rule:
Seizure, species, fancied to name but three.

Loungers

OK here is another example:

I am not very happy acting pleased whenever prominent scientists overmagnify intellectual enlightenment, stoutheartedly outvociferating ultrareactionary retrogressionists, characteristically unsupernaturalizing transubstantiatively philosophicoreligious incomprehensiblenesses anthropomorphologically. Pathologicopsychological!

24 words
327 characters (23 Spaces)

Now this senteance is even nicer it goes up and then down:

Q is the very first letter mystics disclose, involving infrequent puzzleistic manipulation; cryptograms contradict prevalent judgment; solving expert shows this may be X.

I like these challanges, because it is not simply arranging the words, they still need to make sense. Good for scrabble.
