    probelm with ACCESS 2000 (win 98 s.e. )

    question from my friend
    Considered that on the PC in issue Windows 98 s.e. with 640kb of Ram and Office 2000 Professional is installed, like it is possible to obviate to the following problem: during the use of Access to times the computer one jams giving a message to me of error "insufficient memory", the masks are colored in wrong way, they become unusable, and they are forced to extinguish and to restart the PC. N.B. endured after installing of Windows 98 s.e. (june 2003), I have loaded all update from from microsoft site...

    I doubt that the memory is 640 Kb (kilobytes). According to Office 2000 System Requirements, Windows 98 needs 16 MB (megabytes), and Access 2000 needs 8 MB to run, and those are conservative estimates.

    Sal,

    Could you find out how much RAM memory the PC really has? It must be more than 640 KB, since Windows 98 wouldn't even start with that.
