Media Player - Annoying Popup Information (9.00.00.3128)

When I hover over a track name, a box pops up containing all the information about that track. It's very annoying, and I want to turn this feature off, but I can't figure out how. Anyone able to help?

So far as I know there is no setting within Media Player that controls this. I think it's there whether you want it to be or not.

That makes it more than merely annoying!

Yes, I agree - it must have been designed by the same team that came up with all that automatic formatting crap in Microsoft Word! <img src=/S/woops.gif border=0 alt=woops width=58 height=36>

Most of that can be turned off, though! I thought maybe this could be turned off also. . . .

Any chance this is controlled by the Windows View setting (Windows Explorer: Tools>Folder Options...)? (I don't use WMP, so it's difficult for me to test.)
