    Link to intranet webpage

    I know this must be a really, REALLY stupid question, but I'm trying to send a link to an html file that's on our server at work. Everyone has Drive H: as a mapped network drive. The windows explorer address for the file is Holicylist.htm

    When I use http://holicy/list.htm, I get the message Invalid Syntax error OR The page cannot be displayed

    When I use http://h:/policy/list.htm, I get the message 430 Not found Unable to resolve name: www.h.com

    How do I send a hyperlink to network users so they can access this file????

    Re: Link to intranet webpage

    I generally use UNC notation, which looks like:

    <serversharepolicylist.htm>

    Windows Explorer shows the servershare name ("share on server") with each drive letter. The <> take care of any spaces in the path.

    Alternatively, if you open the page in your browser, you might see something like:

    file://h|/policy/list.htm

    And maybe that will work better (but try it with your actual document, I just typed that as an example).

    Thanks jscher. I was trying to create a hyperlink to the page in an email message. Eudora didn't like the first option, but the second option did what I needed.
