    Norton SystemWorks

Opps! Hit the wrong button, sorry about that.

I wonder if someone out there knows of a Suite of programs similar to SystemWoeks. When my subscription runs out, I'm in the market for a change. I reslly would appreciate the nemes of perhaps several so that a choice can be made.

    Thanks loads.

Which parts of the Norton Systemworks suite do you actually use? There are many antivirus products, of course, and free utilities on the web to replace a number of the system cleanup features, but very few vendors offer anything like the Norton Utilities component of the product.

I've been away and couldn't reply before this, sorry.

I use almost all of Norton's SystemWorks. I don't use Go Back (messed up my computer using the purchased stand alone productt). Some body, some where must have a similar suite. I hate to spend more money on updating Norton's, but I guess I'll have to bite the bullet .

Is this the pro version? While the suite may be convenient, do you really need a suite? You can find most if not all the tools in individual products many of which are free or low cost.

    Hi Joe,
No, I don't have the Pro version. I like the Suites if programs have them because I don't have to find, and update each and every one individually. That takes a lot of my valuable (in my opinion) time and between reading all the mail I receive, I'd have time for nothing else. Understand?

Yeah, perfectly understandable. You may want to check ZD Net utlity suite review PC magazine review andPC World suite review . Those ought to give you some food for thought.

Thank you sir, I'll do just that. Tell me, have you heard of Fix-It Utilities 5 SE? I saw it when I read Pest Patrol's newsletter today. It's supposed to be a suite of Utilities that performs almost the same as Norton's.

Heard ot it. But that's about all. Don't know in depth. It is probably included in the links I posted before. I've become less and less a fan of the utility suites over the years as I found myself using only bits and pieces of them. So, I've basically ignored them and picked what I think I'll use from individual products.
