    rules automation (2000 SP3)

Does anyone if it is possible to automate the running of rules?

What I want to do is to run a certain rule from code resulting from a button click.

If I recall correctly, there is no Rules Wizard interface in the Outlook Object Model. But maybe you can replicate the rule in code?

Yes, I could try and replicate the rule in code.

However, the rule I want to run is the Junk E-mail rule and to do this I need to access the 'Junk Senders list'. Do you know if this can be accessed from code?

See if this MS information on XP Junk Senders List is of use in 2000.

I think that list is stored in a .txt file, and I suspect it's in the Application DataMicrosoftOutlook folder, but I can't confirm that, since I never used the built-in Junk filters.

VBA can read and write text files, if their format is simple enough.

That's great, thanks. The article has directed me to "Cocuments and Settings[User Name]Application DataMicrosoftOutlookJunk Senders.txt"

Thanks to jscher2000 as well, as you were on the right track.
