Command button (Excel 2003)

Why does the command button size change upon use or repetitive clicking? The command button is connected to a macro.

It shouldn't, unless the macro associated with the button contains code to do so.

Never seen this happen. Just to be certain that the button properties are not being accidently changed through right-clicking, re-sizing, do this: Right-click on the button, choose Format Properties from the dialog and then tick the slection shown in the picture below. This should help the button keep it's dimensions and not be changed by accident...

    Re: Command button (Excel 2003)

Could the issue be related in some way to the screen resolution settings? (I was ghostwriter for original post) The issue appears in two forms - the command button macro is purely navigational and toggles between different sheets in the workbook - when clicking back and forth, either the button grows larger or the font in the command button name shrinks. The font size setting remains the same but the appearance changes.

Yes I have seen this same error! You are not going !! It is indeed a resolution thingy and I 'fixed' it by resizing the button a bit (manually dragging the side handles to stretch it just a tad). I saw it where the text on the button either got really small or really big. Once I adjusted its size just a tad, the text always stayed the set size.
