Can't Scan For Updates

I have ME on one of my PCs.

When I connect to the internet & run Windows Update, it starts to scan my PC for updates, but does not move beyond 0%. My 98SE & XP machines scan OK & then list the available updates.

Automatic Updates don't do anything either.

Is this something peculiar in ME?

Do you have any POP UP or script blockers running?
And what have you blocked with your fire wall?
Also do you have a McAfee product running?

Thank you for the reply.

There is no firewall or pop-up blockers.

I do run Norton System Works, although this does not cause a problem on the other PCs.

By any chance, do you have the Google toolbar installed? That also contains a popup blocker.

Yes I do.

I'll check when I get home & make sure it's disabled.
