    Master Category List

    Folks:

    I'm using Windows 2000, Outlook 2000, Office 2000.

I use categories extensively in Outlook, to try (desperately) to stay organized. However, I'm beta testing Windows 2000 for my agency, so I get new beta loads fairly frequently. Every time I load, of course, I lose my (heavily edited) Master Category List.

Is there a way to back up / restore / copy the Master Category List?

    Thanks,

    LukeC

yes, you need to export the regsirty key. i don't recall the exact key offhand, search the registry for categories. It's under one of the office keys.

    Re: Master Category List

I tried exporting the registry key, and it didn't work. I can now see the appropriate registry branch in the registry, but the customized entries contained in it do not appear in the Master Categories List.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks much,

    Luke
