    Label Alignment (Word 2003)

Is there any way to create a top aligned group of labels? Some recipients have 5 lines, some only 1. I am using the mail merge to create a directory of people from an Excel spreadsheet - not really labels. I'm just using the label format.

When some merge fields are empty, the usual solution is to surround them with an IF field that checks whether they have any content, and also contains the paragraph mark that separates the lines. I don't personally remember the syntax for this, but you could try this Google search of for merge field blank and see if that holds the key. If not, someone will be along to link you to one of the many relevant threads here in the lounge.
