I'd not worry about it unless you think you're having the problem described. It is one of those that MS will try to charge you for unless you can justify getting it now because you have an affected PC. You're better off waiting for SP-5.

If this doesn't solve everything (okay, but definitely "various" things <img src=/S/bash.gif border=0 alt=bash width=35 height=39> ) as the title suggests, what does this hotfix resolve, and does anyone know of any major examples which it will help, or perhaps an explanation of the article which can help lead me to any conclusions as to its usefulness????
