Thread: outlook contacts

I use outlook 97 for contacts as it has a categorising field. I use outlook express for e-mailing as I find it easier and quicker than outlook 97. I would like to be able to store all my addresses and e-mail addresses in Outlook but be able to use them on Outlook express so that updating outlook 97 automatically updates outlook express address book. It would have been so much easier if MS had chosen to save contacts in one easy to access format.

Re: outlook contacts
if you would be using outlook 98 or 2000 in internet mail mode, you could share with outlook express.
outlook is a business program built on the old exchange client - express came from internet mail and news and is intended for home users. they so no need to share files and prior to ol98, couldn't thanks to mapi considerations.
