    MS word (2000)

Our pastor wants to be able to print out the bulletin in Word. For the responsive reading he wants to be able to write Pfor "Pastor"----, then the next line should be Cfor Congregation) ----for the response. Now when he hits enter to move to the next line it automatically puts Q (the next letter in the alphabet) How can he stop this so when he hits"enter" it doesn't automatically put a Q at the beginning of the next line?

To prevent the automatic creation of Q, let him select Tools | AutoCorrect..., activate the AutoFormat as you Type tab, and clear the check box labeled "Automatic numbered lists". He may want to disable other "Auto" options too.

You could create a Style called "Pastor" which automatically puts the P: at the beginning of the line as a bullet. You could also create a style called Congregation which automatically puts the C: at the beginning. You could then set the Pastor style so that "Style for following paragraph" is congregation.
