    Re: Powerpoint Macro (Office 2000)

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

If you create a Workbook_Open macro in the ThisWorkbook module of an Excel workbook, it will be run automatically when the workbook is opened. You can place a hyperlink to the Excel workbook on a PowerPoint slide.

If you need to run a macro that is not stored in the workbook itself, you will need Automation, i.e. you will control Excel in VBA code from PowerPoint. Moderator WendellB has a tutorial on Automation on his website: Automation 101, with useful links.

What does the XL macro do? Is it already in the XL file? --Sam
