    Security Flaw? (OE6)

OUTLOOK EXPRESS has decided to 'protect' me from harm well beyond my wishes. It will decide that some things that were sent to me, sometimes email, sometimes attachments thereto, may be too sensitive for my eyes. OE then discards them.
I am sure in almost all incidents that the material is harmless as coming from well known sources.
My Internet security selection is set to INTERNET. Is it me, or AOL?

Quite possibly AOL, it has a habit of doing things like that, but you can also check that OE is not colluding with it.

I don't have OE here so I can't check the exact wording, but it's something like - in OE, click Tools, choose 'Security' tab (I think) and make sure that the check box that says something like 'don't allow risky attachments' is NOT checked.

This is assuming, of course, that you have other software to protect you, like a firewall and anti-virus ...!

    Hi, And ~

    To clarify Beryl's suggestion:

OE > 'Tools' > 'Options...' > 'Security' tab > uncheck 'Do not alllow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus' > 'OK'
