I exported some rules and re-imported them, and now they are Goofy?! <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

They some times work on messages coming into the Inbox, not all messages get affected by the rules that affect them, but some do.

The rules are working 100% for the Junk folder?

I checked the rules, and some had issues after the importation, but I fixed that. It was issues dealing with where the folder would be, so I had to point back to the folder that the message needs to go to.

******************** Added this afterwards *******************************

Oh and I tried running the rules manually, and they all worked. All messages affected were treated properly.

This is a new .PST file, so I moved the old one out of its folder, into another folder. Outlook did not create a .PST file right away, I was surprised. It simply shut down. After 3 tries, it did create the new .PST file and I imported the rules, and then set the folders and then adjusted the rules that moved messages into these folders, and then commenced receiving messages.

Then I noticed that the rules are not working in the Inbox, but are working in the Junk folder?

*************************** Update **************************************

One of my coworker tells me that the rules worked 80% of the time... <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

I thought that they should work 100% of the time, so I have to ask:

Does Outlook 2003, have any trouble detecting what account the message came through? It seems that this is the rule that is not working most of the time.

Any ideas?
