    Problem copying contacts (2000)

Has anyone run into this problem before? Two people have the same contact in their Contacts folder. One person adds information to the contact, then sends it as a v-card to the second person so they can update their contact. When the second person drags the contact into the Contacts folder, it overwrites the existing contact, which is good, but it also drops anything that is in the Notes field, which is bad. Any ideas on why and how to stop it? Thanks.

Just to clarify, the old notes saved by person two are lost when the record is replaced (seems logical), or the new notes being sent by person one are lost (seems wrong)?

No, the new notes are lost, which seems wrong to me, too. You actually get a message saying that's going to happen: "The text or attachments in the current contact

The warning message might mean "this is a bug we never got around to fixing." <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>
