Permissions (2000)

(Edited by stuyck on 01-Jul-04 13:45. )
I want the users of my database to be able to delete a particular table so they can run a make table query. So I have given Administrator privileges to that table to the Update Data Users group. The problem is that I can log in as one of the other users and it will work. But then if I log as another user, it doesn't. When I go back and look at the Update Data Users group, that permission is gone and has been assigned to the user I logged on as.

Can anybody tell me what's going on and how to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Eric

As an alternative to a make table query you could try a query to delete all data in the table then use an append query to add data to the table.

    Thanks.

Thanks. I won't be able to try it until next week, but that should work.
