Outlook 2003 Address Book and Contacts Confusion (2003)

I have just been upgraded from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003. In the previous version, I was able to access my contacts folders (I created several subfolders) by opening the address book (via clicking the shortcut button or going thru the Tools menu) or by clicking "To" button on new mail messages. I am no longer able to do so and I can't get to them or any of the many distribution lists I set up in my contacts folder. I have right clicked contacts, selected "properties", and selected "Outlook Address Book" to try and check the box "Show this folder as an e-mail address book" but it is gray and I cannot. Does anyone have any advice?

    Thank you in advance!
