    access97 export to excel97 (a97)

    hello there
    i have a table frm access and i want to export to excel file. The problem is everymonth I need to export this table to excel and instead of replace or overwrite the old records, the next access table will add into next row using the same excel file. How to go about it??pls help... <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

    Probably the easiest way is to copy the records in Access, and paste them into Excel below the existing rows. Then delete the superfluous row with field names.

    If you want to automate this, it would require familiarity with Access and Excel VBA.

    Really?..hmm...so this add to the next row needs Excel VBA???...wow...im not familiar with the ExcelVBA....
    if thts the case then i have no choice which as u said to use copy and paste.

    I'm afraid so. All standard routines to export data from Access or to import data into Excel assume that you want to overwrite the existing data. Copy and paste is your best bet, and since you have to do it only once a month, it is not much work.
