Richtextbox problem with Office XP SP3 (Word 2002 SP3)

    Hello all.

I've got a problem with the richtextbox control with SP3. I have a template that displays a dialog containing a richtextbox. Created the template with Word 2002 SP2 & everything worked fine.

Then I copied the template to a pc that had been upgraded to SP3. Started getting compile errors with the template. Opened it up, and lo and behold! the richtextbox had vanished from my userform. Checked the reference to richtx32.ocx - it was there and not marked 'missing'. The richtextbox was no longer on the VBA Toolbox, so I right-clicked & added it through Additional Controls. But when I tried re-creating a richtextbox on the userform, I got an error saying " The subject is not trusted for the specified action."

This happens regardless of what version of richtx32.ocx I'm using, and whether or not I digitally sign my template.

Even tried creating a template from scratch on the SP3 machine. Again, everything was fine until I tried creating a richtextbox on the user form. At that point, I got the 'not trusted' error again.

Has anyone run into this problem? Any tips for resolving it (short of calling Microsoft )?

    Thanks in advance.

    Bob

If I understand MSKB article Problems occur when you use the Rich TextBox Control 6.0 in Office XP and in Office 2003 correctly, you can't really use the Rich TextBox control any more.
