    Office97 Network Install (97 sr2, win98)

    Hi all,
My IT guys gave me an office 97 build cd so I could install office at home on my win98 pc to work from home. The build he gave me was for a network install (install to client from network). Is there a way to fake setup to think it's a cd install? Change some lines in an ini file maybe? When I run setup, I get a message saying that I must install from the location I originally created the setup in (ie install from network, not cd).

Since all of the builds are done from the corporate level, our local IT guys don't have the MS office cd's anymore.

Copy entire CD to separate folder on your hard drive and run Setup from there. Usually that's enough, but if not - use an application as <A target="_blank" HREF="http://www.j-a-associates.com/vdc.htm">Virtual Drive Creator

    1) On your C drive, create a folder called "OfficeSetup"
    2) Copy the CD to this folder
Create another folder on your hard drive called
