Angled cells with borders (Excel 2002)

    Hi folks,

I'm trying to do an excel sheet and have the text on a 45 degree angle at the top, along with the actual cell borders also angled to 45 degrees. I don't seem to see a way to do this. I can change the text direction, but I cannot change the cell direction. It's for a chart to be printed, so if this can't be done in excel - doing it in Word is also a viable option as well.

    Thanks...

    Well could you imagine accountants, in small <img src=/S/gramps.gif border=0 alt=gramps width=20 height=20> <img src=/S/gent.gif border=0 alt=gent width=17 height=25>, working at 45 degree angles? What would the budget look like? <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

I am afraid the only way to do what you need is by using rectangular boxes to make the borders vs cell borders.

Make the box, and format it the way you like, then use the Free Rotate. You can hold the Shift or CTRL to make it do exactly what you want.

I did that by first applying the borders and then setting the text angle.
