    Can CreationTime and SenderName props be set? (OL 2003, etc.)

    I'm trying to add PostItems to a folder and set the Creationtime and sendername properties but they appear to be read only. Is there ANY way to set these?

    Code snippet in VB6:

    Set oPostItem = oSubTopicFolder.Items.Add(olPostItem)

    With oPostItem
    .Subject = "Message Nbr 123456"
    .BodyFormat = olFormatHTML
    .HTMLBody = "<HTML><H2>My HTML page.</H2><BODY>My body.</BODY></HTML>"
    .Save
    End With

    For security reasons, it would not be a good idea to be able to change the sender name. If you have the necessary permissions, you can set the SentOnBehalfOfName (I suppose this only works only if you are on Exchange)

    I can understand the security concern in an exchange environment but I'm just doing it my own system and they are post items not email so I don't quite get the security prob as it relates to "posts".. They aren't "sent" in the email sense of the word anyway.

    I'm just trying to post some messages I've gleaned from another forum so that I can use the search facility of Lookout to search them.

    Thanks for the suggestion of sentofbehalfofname. I'll give that a try.
