    Toolbars at startup (Word 2002 SP3)

    I have a problem with Word. Whenever I start Word or open a new document, the Reviewers toolbar is displayed. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Same answer as in Excel. If you wish, you can put an AutoExec macro in your Normal.dot that disables the toolbar each time you start Word:

    Sub AutoExec()
    CommandBars("Reviewing").Enabled = False
    End Sub

    Although it takes up some space, I found it easiest just to dock the Reviewing toolbar under the formatting toolbar. Better to sit there passively all the time than to pop up and get in the way, I say. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
