    Automatic disconnect (Firefox 0.9)

I've been happily surfing, sending and receiving emails, etc. for the past hour. Every so often a window pops up telling me that my internet connection has been idle for the past twenty minutes, and do I want to continue? This has never happened before this afternoon. Any idea why anyone?

How do you connect to your ISP? What application is showing this warning / question?

That sounds suspiciously like Internet Explorer monitoring in the background. From your Control Panel, choose Internet Options and then look at the Connections tab. In the properties for your dial-up connection, is there a tick in the checkbox that reads Disconnect when connection may no longer be needed?
