    I.E. explorer beeping (Windows XP home)

    Hi,
    I am running windows XP at home, and when I want to get on the internet I open I.E. and receive a beep, what does this mean?

    Have you checked Control Panel>Sounds & Audio Devices>sounds to see if there is a sound associated with that particular action?
    You can change the sound or select no sound for these things.
