    sharing non-default folder OL2000 on Win2000 SP1

I want to create a new contacts folder seperate from my own personal contacts, and share this out to other users in the domain. (public folders are not available for this task).

The folder share and permissions are set for the other user, but when the user tries to "open other users folder" he is given only the default set of folders as a choice to connect to, ie inbox, contacts, and not my new "global contacts" folder.

Is there a way of expanding the list of folders which another user can connect to?

right click on the new folder > properties > permissions tab and set the permissions for the other person to access.

The permissions have been set ( to editor level ) for my new folder "Global Contacts", for 'user2'.

However, when user2 attempts to 'File > open other users folder' it only gives a drop down box to choose from:

    Inbox
    contacts
    calendar
    Journal
    Notes
    Tasks

Hence no option for my new folder "Global contacts" to choose from.

oh... forgot about that. they can add the mailbox from tools > services > exchange services > advanced tab. Only the fodlers they have permission to view will display and you may need to give global permission on the mailbox (outlook today button or folder). They will only see the folders they have permission for.
