Drop Down Box Protect (Excel 2003)

    Hi,

I have a sheet that I need to send to a number of recipients that they need to fill out. To make it simple I have added a drop down box for easy input.
However when I protect the sheet so that info can't be changed or deleted, the drop down box is locked and can't be changed.
Is there a setting that will allow the sheet to be protected and still allow the drop down box to be functional?

    Thanks
    Neville

If you used Data | Validation, type List, you must unlock the cell before protecting the worksheet.

If you used a combo box from the Forms toolbar or from the Control Toolbox toolbar, you must unlock the linked cell before protecting the worksheet.

You lock or unlock cells by selecting them, then choosing Format | Cells, Protection tab.
