Re: Firefox New Version (Firefox 0.9.2)

I have been using it since yesterday with no problems. I believe the only update from version 0.9.1 is the shell security issue which can also be patched by using ShellBlock extension

There are also updates to Thunderbird (0.7.2) and Mozilla (1.7.1) for this security fix.

No problems here...painless and clean fix using the XPI update that Tony mentioned.

Thanks for the heads-up, Tony. Even though I'm still using the standard Mozilla, rather than FF/TB, I don't know what corner I've been sleeping in about this security issue. I ran the patch AND download a complete copy of Moz 1.7.1

I choose not to use the patch, installed the complete version. Of course, I uninstalled the old one first.

<img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15> Shortly after I posted my initial reply, I undertook a complete format and reinstall of my main desktop PC, so I am now in the same category as yourself. That is to say, fresh install of Firefox with the patch included...

And for what it's worth, it was not the browser that led me to reformatting and reinstalling! It was a nasty problem with the NTFS file system.
