    Text Query (2000)

I have a database where one of the fields is a text field for titles of articles in magazines. I want to do a query in that field to find a word contained in that title. I can do a parameter search in all my fields that contain one word but if the field contains
more than one word I get a zero return. Can I do a search in a field that contains more than 1 word??

If you want to select all titles that contain the word "Lounge", use this in the Criteria line:

    <code>Like "*Lounge*"</code>

The Like operator allows you to search with wildcards, and * stands for any number of characters. You can also use ?, this stands for one arbitrary character, but you don't need it here.

    Use something similar to this:

    <code>Like "*" & [Enter part of title] & "*"</code>

or if the user enters the search value in a text box on a form:

    <code>Like "*" & Forms![NameOfTheForm]![NameOfTheTextBox] & "*"</code>
