Toggle "save a copy"?

I often don't want to save a copy of a msg I'm sending, but I usually do. I've tried changing my habits, but it's not reliable. What I really want to do is have some keyboard shortcut that'll toggle it on or off for the current msg.

Is there any way to do this, in any version of Outlook or an add-in product? There are many discussions where it's essential that I save a copy, but I get *so* cluttered with unnecessary items...

you'd need to use vba to toggle it. why not just go through the sent folder and delete messages you no longer need?

I have a rule that i run manually on the sent folder to get rid of some, others i sort by To field and manually delete.
