    IE 6.0 Missing Test (1.0)

User accesses www.msn.com and clicks on a link for a news article. The actual body of the article is missing (no errors, just white space). Surrounding, what I call, "text pictures" on this same page appear just fine. We are running IE 6.0 SP1 with recent security updates. From an identical (and like imaged) laptop, this problem does not exists. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I realize this may be a late reply. Have you checked under Tools/Internet Options to make sure that both "Always expand Alt text for images" & "Show Pictures" are checked? Sometimes I've had problems even with that & find that if I manually change the encoding, it helps. Other than that, on Win 98, there is a repair option under Add_Remove Programs/Microsoft Internet Explorer/Add_Remove/Repair.
    Hope this helps,

Phil, although too late since the user indicated the next day that the problem simply vanished, this is useful to know for future reference.
