    Cancelling an InBox (Mozilla 1.5)

I just recently changed ISPs and have advised the former to cancel all service. When I open my mail window I have an Inbox for the new provider with all the usual slots:Trash, Sent, Templates, etc. I also have an InBox for the original provider with all the same slots. I haven't been able to find a way to DELETE or erase the former InBox. I deleted the former ISP from my desktop and from Network Connections. Any suggestions would be most appreciated to clear this annoyance. Thanx very much.

If I understand your "lingo" correctly and you have created a new "account" within Mozilla email for your new ISP, you should be able to go into Mail Settings and remove that OLD account. In my attachment, I have "collapsed" the folders to make the attachment smaller. Let me know if this isn't clear enough, so we don't make a mistake. One thing that concerns me is whether you have any old email in the previous account that you want to keep. If that's the case, DON'T delete the account just yet - come back and let me know and we'll work on a way to retain those old messages.

Thank you much kind sir. I got rid of the old account just fine. However in the process I somehow set Mozilla as my DEFAULT browser and since I only use it for Email I would like to be able to RESET IE as the default browser but haven't figured out how to get back there yet. Can you help me on that one??

    PaJan,
Many people here would say "What's wrong with Mozilla as your default browser?" <img src=/S/whisper.gif border=0 alt=whisper width=29 height=17>

To answer your question, on Internet Explorer, click on Tools>Internet Options, select the Programs tab, and then check the bottom checkbox: "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser."

As for using Mozilla for mail, you don't mention how you use Mozilla (The whole program, or by component). If you only want the mail portion of Mozilla (freeing disk space & processing usage), consider Mozilla Thunderbird. This is the email part, without the browser.

Thanx Errol. The main reason I use IE is that I play a lot of Bridge on the MSN Gaming Zone and it does not recognize Mozilla as the browser. I can still get to the Zone but it involves several steps and desktop shortcuts don't work.
