    Initials from a name (WXp+OXp)

I'm OCR'ing lists of name into excel, e.g.
    P Craven
    LRB Offord
I want to be able to sort the list into ascending order based upon surname. Therefore I think that I need to take out either the surname or the initials to another cell. Can anyone please tell how to do this?

If all names are of this type:
Make sure that there is an empty column to the right of the names.
    Select the cells.
Select Data | Text to Columns...
    Specify Delimited, then click Next.
Specify Space as delimiter, then click Finish.
