Vanished Office Icons (Win XP SR1)

There used to be two icons on the start menu for Office 2000. One labelled New Office Document accessed the various MS Office templates and the other accessed existing Office documents. Both have vanished. I've tried system restore with no luck. I've also repaired/reinstalled Office 2000. I don't think they were shortcuts to .exe files but were something special. Can anyone tell me how to get them back please? Thanks.

    1. Look in the folder C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeShortcut BarOffice. You may find the shortcuts there. You can drag them onto the Start button to add them to the Start menu,

    2. You can create your own shortcuts. The target for "New Office Document" is

    "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeOsa9.exe" -n

and the target for "Open Office Document" is

    "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeOsa9.exe" -f

Thank you very much. Your suggestion number 2 worked perfectly. I pinned the shortcuts to the start menu and things are now back to normal. Your help is much appreciated.
