How to stop cursor selecting text (AccessXP)

When a form opens the first textbox is selected. Is there any way to stop this behavior? This form is for display purposes and to allow user to spot a possible problem.
    Thanks

If the field doesn't require editing then you should think about either locking or disabling all the fields.

The cursor has to go somewhere. Your choices are to manually use a docmd.gotocontrol to tell the cursor where to go, or put a transparent command button on the form and make it tab index 0. I frequently use this latter technique so users won't inadvertently start typing into the first data textbox.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. Mark I went with the transparent button and made it tiny. Thanks. Fay
