    TIFF images (6)

Does MSFT supply a TIFF plug-in that may be used with IE to view TIFF images?

For example, can the MSFT Document Imaging stuff be used as a plug-in within IE.

This is necessary to view images at, e.g., the US Patent office, see
    http://www.uspto.gov/patft/help/images.htm.

Hmmm, I just got OmniPage Office Pro, wonder if that can be hooked into IE?

AlternaTIFF is an ActiveX control that lets you view TIFF files in IE. Although it is free, it requires registration before you can use it.

    See here for some alternatives.

    Thanx fer the prompt response.

Butt, and I do have a big butt, I misread the issue, it's not a problem.

I can open "tif" files from my hard drive using IE, but I do get the "QuickTime" logo flashed and then the file is displayed.

Just tried to view a image at the above site and all I got was a small colored box in the upper right corner.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
