    Report Writer (XP/2K)

    Are there any freeware of downloads of a basic form to enable the end user to build their own reports. Before I reinvent the wheel, I would like to see what is out there, that I can adapt.
    Thanks

    How about the report wizard? If you set a reference to C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice10Acwzmain.mde (for Access 2002, I don't know the exact equivalent for Access 2000), you can call the wizard in VBA, for example in the On Click code of a command button:

    Private Sub cmdCreateReport_Click()
    frui_Entry Me.cboTables, acReport
    End Sub

    where cmdCreateReport is a command button and cboTables is a combo box listing available tables.

    (Edited to make URL clickable, see <!help=19>Help 19<!/help> - Mod)

    The wizard gives the actual names of the field, and I would like to enable filtering the records to some degree.
    I wrote a form which uses a basic report , gives 6 options for filtering the different data and based on that changes the source of the report, and 4 formats of the report. (Actually it is quite nice, IMHO). But, if there is something out there to work with I would use that, since the client wants changes.
    I did a google and found http://www.fontstuff.com/access/acctut19.htm.
    Maybe there are others
    Thanks
