Word Crashing When Printing (Word 2000 SP 3)

Starting about two weeks back, I started to get calls from users on our network because their Word program would crash sometimes when they sent it to print. I've ruled out the antivirus software because it's been disabled on the desktops with the problem. The document they're sending to print can be just about anything. Anyone else having this problem or can offer a suggestion on what to look for that could be causing this?

    Thanks, Daisy

There's nothing that rings a bell, so try Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000),197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000)<!/post>.

    Hi Daisy:
I'd also check my printer driver. It's possible that something has gone awry.

On the off chance that this is the infamous Windows print spooler (spool32) error on Windows 98, I don't think there really is a satisfactory fix. However, if you search for the spool32 FAQ, you'll find many suggestions.
